2010 Outdoor Track & Field Men's Team Awards Released

The Behrend Lions track and field programs released the men's team awards for the 2010 season. Coach Greg Cooper's program selected a team MVP, a Leadership and Scholarship award winner, a Most Improved Player, and a Rookie of the Year.

Junior Ronson Mazany (Ashville, NY/Panama Central) was named the MVP. In 2009, Ronson earned both the indoor and outdoor team MVP award. He was named all-conference in the long jump, high jump and triple jump. Mazany set the school record in the long jump at 23'0.75". He was also a provisional NCAA qualifier in the 2009 outdoor and 2010 indoor season.

Senior Vincent Krawiec (Erie, PA/McDowell) was tabbed as the Most Improved Player after the spring season. He performed his career bests in the 100m dash and leading off the men's 4x100m relay team and earned all-conference accolades.

The Rookie of the Year trophy went to freshman Craig Webb (Johnstown, PA/Richland). Webb scored a top 10 all-time Behrend performance  in the 100m and 200m dash events and also ran the second leg on the all-conference men's 4x100 squad.

The Leadership and Scholarship award went to junior Jordan Telin (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin). Telin is a finance major and boasts a GPA above the 3.5 mark, is a member of Chi Alpha and led the team with season best performances in teh 200m and 400m dash events.
