ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend softball and women's tennis teams will get their chance to compete in "Blue-White" intersquad scrimmages this weekend.
Women's tennis is rescheduled from last Friday due to weather. The Lions are set to play this Friday, October 9 at 4:30 p.m. Spectators and fans will be able to watch a livestream from Court 1 with a play-by-play announcer covering the 90-minute competition. The Lions welcome back eight upperclassmen and add two new faces to the 2020-21 roster. Lone senior Marissa Bowles returns after playing in the No. 1 singles and doubles positions last year.
Softball will play one seven-inning game on Sunday, October 11 at 11 a.m. The Lions are back in action for the first time since March 14, 2020. Behrend returns 13 letterwinners and welcomes seven freshmen to complete the 2021 roster. The softball live broadcast will feature a play-by-play announcer.
