Brudy, Jasinski Named AMCC Athletes of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend tennis players Michael Brudy (Gibsonia, PA/Pine Richland) and Erica Jasinski (Fairview, PA/Fairview) were named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.

Brudy was named the Athlete of the Week for the Behrend men's tennis team. He did not give up a set point in singles or doubles action against Pitt-Bradford on Saturday. He swept at No. 3 singles and then won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles for the Lions' first conference win. Brudy was also the lone singles winner vs. Nazareth in the season opener on Wednesday.

Jasinski earned Athlete of the Week for the women's tennis team. The junior helped the Lions go 2-0 to start to the season. She posted a 2-0 singles record at the No. 1 spot and a 2-0 doubles mark at No. 2. She only gave up four set points in singles action, winning 6-1, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-0.
