Men's and Women's Track and Field Closes Week With Two Meets
The Penn State Behrend men’s and women’s track and field team heads to Meadville, Pennsylvania on Thursday for the Marty Goldberg Gator Invite, hosted by Allegheny followed by a meet in Berea, Ohio on Friday at Baldwin Wallace.

Men's News & Notes:
* The Behrend Lions won the 2022 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship this past weekend
* Behrend finished with 302 team points for their sixth-straight CSAC Title
* Anand Bhambhwani (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon), Blake Burns (Jefferson, OH/Jefferson), Eric Stehlik (Northport, NY/Northport) and Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) took first in the 4x100m relay and also qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships
* Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) registered an AARTFC-qualifying mark in the 800m, finishing in 1:56.55
* Head coach Greg Cooper was tabbed CSAC Coach of the Year
Women's News and Notes:
* The Lions won their first CSAC Championship since 2019 this past weekend, ending the event with 246 points
* Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) took gold in five events and was named the 2022 CSAC Track Athlete of the Year
* Laffan also set a new personal best in the 100m with a 12.73
* Caroline Upham (Erie, PA/Iroquois) won her third-consecutive CSAC Championship in the high jump with a mark of 1.50m
* Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) and Maria Campbell (Erie, PA/Vila-Maria Academy) finished first and second, respectively in the pole vault
* Kappeler grabbed gold with a 2.75
