Four Named AMCC Athletes of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend senior Adrian Martinez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Wesleyan Academy), junior Alex Jackson (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton), sophomore Bella Nadzam (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) and freshman Jacob Earley (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) have named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.

Martinez, the Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, averaged 4.29 digs per set in a pair of wins over Wells and Wilkes on Sunday. The libero registered a team-high 10 digs vs. Wells and then posted a match-high 20 digs in a five-set win over Wilkes. Martinez currently paces the conference in digs per set (2.89).

Jackson, the Men's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, for averaging 8.83 assists per set in a pair of matches for the Lions. The junior tallied his second double-double of the season with 43 assists and 12 digs vs. Wilkes on Sunday. Jackson also added six kills and six blocks.

Nadzam, the Women's Swimmer of the Week, won a pair of events for the Behrend Lions against Wells on Saturday. She touched first in the 50 free (27.40) and the 50 backstroke (32.48) while also swimming on the winning opening relay (400 medley relay).

Earley, the Men's Diver of the Week, led the Lions with two individual wins against Wells. He scored a 207.05 on the one-meter diving event and posted a 204.45 on the three-meter event for first place in both.
