Three Named AMCC Athletes of the Week
Penn State Behrend baseball sophomore Daniel Boehme, sophomore softball player Jocelyn McNany and freshman Abby Tingley have been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend baseball sophomore Daniel Boehme (Peters Township, PA/Seton LaSalle), sophomore softball player Jocelyn McNany (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) and freshman Abby Tingley (Union City, PA/Union City) have been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.
Boehme hit .600 for the week, as he connected on 12 hits including two doubles and a triple. He drove in 10 runs and scored five while turning three double plays in a 3-2 week for the Lions. Boehme went 6-for-8 against Hilbert with five RBIs.
McNany and Tingley were the softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively. McNany went 9-for-10 (.900), scoring seven runs and driving in six. She tallied three doubles and one triple, while stealing a base in four games. Against Hilbert, she was a perfect 5-for-5 with five RBIs and two doubles.
Tingley threw two complete game victories for a 0.70 ERA with one shutout, as she went 2-0 on the week. Tingley pitched 10 innings and struck out six with allowing just one earned run in two appearances.
