A 1970 graduate of Iroquois High School, Jazenski wrestled for two seasons at Penn State Behrend under Hall of Fame Coach Ed Onorato.  While at Penn State Behrend, Jazenski was a two-time Commonwealth Campus Champion.  In 1971 he won at 158 lbs.  The next season he won the championship at 177 lbs.

In 1972 Paul finished third in the NJCAA Regional Tournament and he finished fifth in the National Tournament, which is the highest finish in school history.  In the same season, he received the Penn State-Behrend Athlete of the Year award.

In 1973, Jazenski transferred to the University of Pittsburgh, where he wrestled for two years.  He also played wing forward on the Panther's rugby team.

Jazenski is still very active in sports.  He is a youth soccer coach, little league baseball coach, and is a member of the Eastside Board of Advisors  He is a teacher at Harborcreek Youth Services.
