Lisa Dorenkamp, a Butler Area High School graduate, was an influential member of the women's basketball and softball teams at Penn State Behrend.
Dorenkamp set several school records in basketball. She is second all-time in three-pointers with 118, tops in three-pointers in a single game with 7, and the single-season leader in three-pointers with 71. She ranks eighth all-time in career assists with 213. Dorenkamp averaged 14.2 ppg in the 1987-88, and she ranks ninth in scoring career with 847 points. Dorenkamp also played softball for three years, and in 1989 she helped the softball program to a record 18-victory season.
Dorenkamp graduated from Penn State Behrend in 1990. She is an assistant women's basketball coach for St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, and is employed by Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals.
