Michael Oliu came to Penn State Behrend from Old Bridge High School in New Jersey, and he became a key contributor to the men's soccer program during his three years of competition.
Oliu was a co-captain and key member of the 1978 team that beat cross-town rival Mercyhurst 2-1 to capture the NAIA District 18 Championship. He was a three-year starter under head coach Herb Lauffer, playing 40 games and netting13 goals and 32 total points. He was the second-leading goal scorer during his three seasons.
Oliu graduated from Penn State Behrend in 1981. He is married with two sons and is employed by M + P Export Management Corporation.
