Emily Rogan anchored Behrend women’s soccer defense from 2004-08. She was a two-time All-AMCC first-team selection, playing in 84 career games to rank her eighth on the all-time chart. Rogan helped the Lions to a 53-22-9 overall record and an astounding 31-2-3 conference mark during her career. She also was instrumental in 44 shutouts combined over four years.

Big things come in small packages, and that was Rogan. Even though she stood at 5-1, her dedication and attitude for Behrend soccer was immeasurable. Rogan was named Team Rookie of the Year in 2004 after helping the defense earn 11 shutouts and a trip to the ECAC Tournament. In her sophomore season, the Lions allowed just 15 goals and posted 12 shutouts in 21 games. The team returned to the ECAC Tournament and finished with a 14-3-4 overall record.

The Lions avenged back-to-back losses in the AMCC Championships the two previous years with a pair of championships in Rogan’s final two seasons with the Lions. Behrend won its fifth AMCC title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for just the second time in program history. Rogan was a vital part of the Behrend defense, which held the opposition to 1.03 goals per game and a stingy .089 shot percentage along the way. She was a part of 11 shutouts and earned First Team All-Conference honors.

In her senior year, the Lions went undefeated in conference play to earn the No. 1 seed in the AMCC Tournament. Behrend defeated Frostburg St. 2-1, erasing a 1-0 deficit with two goals in the final 10 minutes to hoist the AMCC trophy once again. The Lions returned to the NCAA Tournament, and Rogan was recognized for a second time on the All-AMCC first team.
