2008 Baseball

The 2008 edition of the Penn State Behrend baseball team claimed the program’s second AMCC championship and punched the program’s first ticket to the NCAA Division III Playoffs.  
 
The Behrend Lions put together an impressive 34-12 overall record, while finishing 17-1 in AMCC play.  After defeating Pitt-Bradford twice to clinch the AMCC title, PSB advanced to play Messiah and Gwynedd-Mercy in the NCAA Tournament.
 
Junior pitcher David Koerbel was named both the AMCC Player and Pitcher of the Year after posting an 8-2 record with a 2.82 ERA.  Joining Koerbel on the AMCC All-Conference First Team were Andy Chrobak, Dustin Dubensky, and Johnathan Gray. Adam Martin and Geoff Lang were named to the AMCC All-Conference Second Team and Josh Fyffe earned a spot on the AMCC All-Conference Third Team.  Head coach Paul Benim was named the AMCC Coach of the Year.
