Rob Wittman

Wittman spent nearly 30 years as the Intramural & Recreational Programs and Facilities Coordinator at Penn State Behrend. He was responsible for leading, organizing and evaluating all aspects of the intramural, fitness and club sport programs, while managing the multi-purpose Junker Center.   

He was the event manager for home varsity contests in the Junker Center as well as special events including concerts, competitions, karate championships and local basketball tournaments. Alongside the coordination of intramural programs, Wittman was a kinesiology instructor and also spent nine years on the woman’s basketball sidelines.  

Wittman aided in the process of developing the new athletics website for Behrend as well as developing and maintaining the entire recreation and facilities website for intramural and recreation programs.

Wittman earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science with a minor in business and liberal arts from Penn State University in 1987. He went on to obtain his master’s degree in exercise and sport science with a sports administration concentration from Penn State in 1991.

Wittman, who retired in January 2021, has been spending his free time on the golf course.
