Eagle, Corso Awarded First Place For Research Projects
Penn State Behrend women’s basketball senior Aly Eagle and junior Natalie Corso each presented research projects for the Sigma Xi Chapter and won first place at the 22nd Annual Undergraduate Research & Creative Accomplishment Conference held on campus Saturday.
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend women’s basketball senior Aly Eagle (Harmony, PA/Seneca Valley) and junior Natalie Corso (Moon Township, PA/Moon) each presented research projects for the Sigma Xi Chapter and won first place at the 22nd Annual Undergraduate Research & Creative Accomplishment Conference held on campus Saturday.
Eagle received first place out of eight presentations for her research in the difference between face-to-face and cyber bullying along with changing the culture of negative treatment in children. Eagle, Kimberly Cook and Jennifer Slane made up the group under their developmental mentor Dr. Charisse Nixon.
Corso, Meghan Nee and Christina Anthony presented “Pill Popping for Performance; Changing Attitudes Towards Psychostimulants” with the guidance of cognitive faculty member Dr. Dawn Blasko.
Each group received a certificate and a monetary award. This is the second time Eagle presented her research, while Corso will present her project on Saturday at Allegheny College.
