#4 Behrend Bowling Ready for AMCC Championships; Takes On #5 Hilbert in First Round
The No. 4 Penn State Behrend women’s bowling team will compete in the first round of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships against No. 5 Hilbert on Friday, March 21.
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The No. 4 Penn State Behrend women's bowling team will compete in the first round of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships against No. 5 Hilbert on Friday, March 21. Match time at Pines Plaza Lanes in Pittsburgh is set for 10 a.m. The winner of this single-elimination mega match will take on No. 1 Saint Vincent at 2:30 p.m.

No. 4 Behrend News & Notes:
* The Lions come in to the Friday's match with a 34-59 overall record and an AMCC record of 9-5
* Behrend ended the regular season with two traditional wins at the Redhawks Roc City Classic on Saturday, March 1
* In November, the Lions finished 5-2 for fourth place at the AMCC Round Robin 1, which consisted of seven baker matches
* Behrend would go on to tally a 4-3 record at the Second Round Robin for an overall conference record of 9-5 to tie Pitt-Bradford, but the Panthers broke the tie with head-to-head total pinfall to give the Lions the fourth seed
* For the season, Lillie Holt was in the top 10 in AMCC play in frames filled percentage (83.3), spare conversion percentage (66.7) and player composite performance index (78.8), while also registering a team-high average of 181.26 in 46 traditional games
* Holt also leads the Lions with a baker average of 18.78 in 352 frames
* Senior Sidney Batsa (Latrobe, PA/Greater Latrobe) claimed fourth in the conference rankings in split leave percentage (7.5) and 15th in player composite performance index (40.1). Batsa also was second on the team in overall frames filled percentage (67.0) and total average (167.22)
* Holt and Batsa combined to be named to three All-Tournament teams and earned four AMCC Bowler of the Week honors
* In 257 traditional games, Behrend holds a team average of 162.41 and total pinfall of 41,740
No. 5 Hilbert News & Notes:
* Hilbert enters the conference tournament with an 8-54 overall record and 5-9 record in AMCC play
* This marks the first time in program history that the Hawks have qualified for AMCC Championships
* The Hawks finished 1-3 at the Redhawks Roc City Classic to end the regular season
* Hilbert placed sixth at the First Round Robin (2-5) and sixth at the Second Round Robin (3-4) to tie with Pitt-Greensburg with a 5-9 record
* The Hawks broke the tie with the advantage in head-to-head total pinfall to grab their first conference tournament bid
* Sophomore Jenna Angle leads the team in all statistical categories, including ranking first with a 169.4 traditional average and 11th in the AMCC in in player composite performance index (59.7)
