BRADFORD, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team split an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) doubleheader with Pitt-Bradford, taking game one and falling in the nightcap on Wednesday afternoon. 
 
Game One:
Score:  Penn State Behrend 7, Pitt-Bradford 0
Records: Penn State Behrend (10-2, 3-0 AMCC), Pitt-Bradford (1-4, 0-3 AMCC)
 
Key Moments:
 
* Starter Derrick Shields (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) threw a three-hit shutout and fanned eight for his third win and first complete game of the season
* Offensively, the Lions scored three runs in the fourth to break open the scoreless game and added four more in the sixth
* With bases loaded in the fourth, Josh Wagner (South Park, PA/South Park) walked home to get on the board and Behrend added two more on an error for a 3-0 lead
* Lead-off hitter, Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney), in the sixth ripped his first home run of the season for a 4-0 lead
* Three hit batters loaded the bases once again and the Lions scored on a wild pitch, before Braden Paulinellie (DuBois, PA/DuBois) singled up the middle to score pinch runner Hunter Jamison (Allison Park, PA/Shaler) for two more runs
* The final run was off a sacrifice fly by Zach Bowen (Pittsburgh, PA/Serra Catholic), knocking in Dom Charletta (West Newton, PA/Yough)
* Wagner and Colin Harger (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) each finished with two hits apiece
* Wagner increased his team lead in doubles to seven by adding one in game one
 
Game Two:
Score:  Pitt-Bradford 13, Penn State Behrend 2
Records: Penn State Behrend (10-3, 3-1 AMCC), Pitt-Bradford (2-4, 1-3 AMCC)
 
Key Moments:
 
* The Panthers jumped ahead 4-0 after the first five innings and then added nine more over the next two innings for the large lead
* Pitt-Bradford used 13 hits to generate 14 RBIs, including three home runs to split with the Lions
* Behrend got two runs in the top of the 8th 
* The Panthers snapped the Lions four-game win streak and handed them their first loss 
* Six different players registered a hit for Behrend
* Jacob Lindow (Bridgeville, PA/Chartiers Valley) struck out six in five innings on the mound, suffering his first loss
