PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The La Roche baseball team remains undefeated after posting 2-1 and 6-4 decisions over Penn State Behrend in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Saturday afternoon.

Game One:
Score:

Records: Penn State Behrend (12-5, 5-2 AMCC), La Roche (7-0, 7-0 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* Game one proved to be pitchers dual with only nine hits combined over seven innings
* Hurler Thomas Zbezinski (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) suffered his first loss on the mound (3-1), striking out five and allowing four hits for two runs
* La Roche Zack Oddi improves to 2-0  this season, pitching seven innings and giving up five hits
* The Lions had three doubles in the five hits registered
* Tristan Tinney scored the eventual game-winning run in the bottom of the fourth inning
* Tinney walked, stole second and came home on an RBI single by B. Dottle
* Behrend scored its lone run in the sixth inning thanks to a pair of doubles
* As the lead-off hitter in the sixth, CJ Weller (Sewickley, PA/North Allegheny) doubled to right field
* Juston Jones (Moon Township, PA/Moon) followed with a double to center field to knock in Weller to cut the lead to 2-1
* Weller finished 2-for-2 with a run, while Colin Harger (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) added a double and Josh Wagner (South Park, PA/South Park) managed a hit

Key Moments:

* Behrend doubled its hits from game one
* The Lions held a 4-3 lead until the sixth inning
* La Roche scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead for good
* With two outs and bases loaded, the Redhawks scored two on an error
* La Roche added another run in the sixth with a bases-loaded walk to score Tinney
* Evam Bromley came in to relieve starter Ryan Weaver (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) in the seventh
* Weaver fanned five batters and gave up two earned runs in the first six innings
* Wagner, Jake Deitz (Erie, PA/McDowell), Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney), Tanner Cicchini (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) each tallied two hits
* Similar to game one, Behrend relied on doubles to get around the bases
* Deitz doubled to score Cicchini in the second inning
* Cicchini and Stouffer doubled in the fifth to help the Lions add three more runs on four hits to jump ahead 4-3
