OBERLIN, Ohio - The Penn State Behrend baseball team split a non-conference doubleheader the Oberlin Yeomen on Sunday. The Lions shut out Oberlin 7-0 in game one and fell in game two, 6-3. 
 
Game One:
Score:  Penn State Behrend 7, Oberlin 0
Records: Penn State Behrend (16-7), Oberlin (1-6)
 
Key Moments:
 
* Caleb Caldwell (Frewsburg, PA/Frewsburg) threw his first collegiate complete game with a five-hit shutout 
* Caldwell went the distance only needing 95 pitches to record 21 outs, walking one and strucking out four for his first collegiate win
* Senior Braden Paulinellie (DuBois, PA/DuBois) led the Lions with a 4-for-4 performance, three runs and one RBI
* Colin Harger (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) also had multiple hits with two and a team-best three RBI, joining Paulinellie with a double on the day
* The Lions scored one run in the first, three in the second and three more in the fourth for a 7-0 win
* In the first, Paulinellie singled and stole second before getting Behrend on the board with a Harger single
* It took three hits to get home three more runs in the second, including another from Paulinellie
* Harger's double scored two more in the fourth and with bases loaded, Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) came in on a balk for the final run of the game
 
Game Two:
Score:  Oberlin 6, Penn State Behrend 3
Records: Penn State Behrend (16-8), Oberlin (2-6)
 
Key Moments:
 
* Oberlin scored six runs on eight hits, scoring in four out of the six innings for its second win of the season
* Paulinellie led the Lions once again with a pair of hits and two RBIs
* The Yeomen's Luigi Smarro, relief pitcher, recorded his first careeer win while Ian Ashby locked down the his first save of the season
* Oberlin got on the board early with two runs in the first
* In the second, Behrend made it 2-1 with a Paulinellie RBI single to score Jacob Deitz (Erie, PA/McDowell) 
* The Yeomen added two more runs in the bottom of the frame to take the lead for good
* The Lions scoerd a run in the third and Deitz got another one in the fourth but it wasn't enough to complete the sweep
* Will Jamison (Shaler, PA/Shaler) suffered the loss in his first collegiate start for Behrend

* Behrend returns to action on Tuesday at home against Medaille for an AMCC doubleheader. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
