Zbezinski, Stouffer Named to NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team

ERIE, Pa. – Junior Thomas Zbezinski (Gibsonia, PA/Pine Richland) and sophomore Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) were named to the 2021 NCAA Division III Regional All-Tournament Team. Zbezinski was selected at pitcher and Stouffer was chosen at first base.

Zbezinski and Stouffer were two of 16 players honored from the six participating teams at the Regional Tournament hosted by Marietta. Zbezinski led the Lions (27-13) to an 11-1 win over Rochester on Friday, allowing just three hits and one run. The starting hurler threw a complete game and fanned 11 to conclude the season with an 8-1 record.

Stouffer was instrumental in helping Behrend post a 2-2 record over the weekend. He tallied five hits, including two doubles, with four runs and two RBIs. Stouffer saved his best for last against No. 4 Marietta on Sunday. The sophomore went 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and a stolen base. Stouffer hit .357 in four games and registered 29 putouts.
