FORT PIERCE, Fla. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to break a 1-all tie and defeat Wilkes 4-1 in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon in spring-break action.

Game One:

* The Lions struck first in the third inning on a double by Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) to score Juston Jones (Moon Township, PA/Moon) for a 1-0 lead
* The next inning, Wilkes knotted the score at 1-all with an RBI single by Chase Vrabel
* Jeff Zick (Moon, PA/Our Lady of Sacred Heart) pitched the first six innings and struck out eight batters before surrendering a run on five hits
* Evan Bromley (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) relieved Zick for one inning to get the win  
* In the seventh, Behrend scored three runs on three hits to take the lead for good
* Zac Bogats (Corapolis, PA/Moon) reached on an error, before advancing to second on a single by Jones
* Stouffer registered his second hit with a bunt single to load the bases
* Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) hit a two-RBI single before Stouffer scored on a sacrifice bunt by Chase Palmer (Brookeville, PA/Brookeville)
* Joe Lang (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) was the third pitcher in relief, getting his fourth career save
* Lang struck out one in a third of an inning
