FORT PIERCE, Fla. – The Northwestern baseball team defeated Penn State Behrend 7-5 on day five of spring break in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Noteworthy:

* Northwestern avenged a nine-run loss to the Lions two days ago
* Down 7-3 in the top of the ninth, the Lions had bases loaded with one out
* Lead off, Silvio Ionadi (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum), walked and was driven in off a double by Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney)
* Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) singled to score Stouffer before Juston Jones (Moon Township, PA/Moon) registered his first hit of the day
* TJ Johnston (Fox Chapel, PA/Fox Chapel) walked to load the bases
* Behrend recorded its first out on a fielder's choice to stop Ciocco at the plate
* With bases still loaded, the Lions hit into a double play to end the game and fall by two runs
* Ciocco went 3-for-4 with two RBIs
* John Berger (Wexford, PA/Pine Richland) also had three hits on four at-bats with a double
* Ionadi tallied two hits, including a triple and two runs
* Starting pitcher Colin Kelly (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) pitched 4.1 innings, walked three and struck out four
* Will Jamison (Shaler, PA/Shaler) came in relief and struck out four in the loss
