FORT PIERCE, Fla. – Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) went 3-for-5 with three runs, two RBIs a triple and a home run to help the Penn State Behrend baseball team defeat Monmouth 12-1 on Friday morning.

Noteworthy:

* The Behrend Lions posted their largest margin of victory with an 11-run difference
* Starter Jeff Zick (Moon, PA/Our Lady of Sacred Heart) threw 74 strikes, fanning eight batters and allowing just one run on six hits for the win
* Jack Baumgartel (Sewickley, PA/North Allegheny) finished the game, pitching a solid two innings and striking out three
* John Berger (Wexford, PA/Pine Richland) went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs
* Behrend scored 10 runs in the first inning to take a commanding lead
* Monmouth scored its lone run in the third inning, while the Lions added one run in the third and seventh frame
* Stouffer and Anthony Slate (Hopewell, PA/Hopewell) each triple and Stouffer ended the first inning with a two-run homer
* Behrend registered its second-most hits this season with 12
