MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny baseball team tallied a 7-3 non-conference win against Penn State Behrend on Thursday afternoon.

Records: Penn State Behrend (5-8), Allegheny (7-10)

Game One:

* The Gators registered seven runs on eight hits for their seventh win of the season
* Pitcher of record Mark Schweickert struck out nine batters in 6.2 innings of work
* Behrend registered runs in the fourth and eighth innings
* Three different Lions had a pair of hits including Zac Bogats (Corapolis, PA/Moon) and Silvio Ionadi (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) who each had a double
* With a 3-1 lead, Allegheny had a four-run seventh frame to take a six-run advantage
* Chase Palmer (Brookville, PA/Brookville) tallied the lone hit in the fourth with a single to left center
* Palmer stole a pair of bases before scoring on a passed ball
* Behrend tallied two more runs in the eighth on an error and a wild pitch
* Palmer finished with two hits, while Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) registered a double and a run
* Evan Bromley (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) fell for the first time this season on the bump, throwing six innings and allowing three earned runs on five hits while striking out three
