ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team swept Waynesburg in a non-conference doubleheader, winning 25-4 and 4-1 on Tuesday afternoon on the Behrend Diamond.
Game One:
Final Score: Penn State Behrend 25, Waynesburg 4
Records: Penn State Behrend (10-12), Waynesburg (9-16)
* It marks the most runs scored in a game since a 29-2 win over Northwestern (MN) on March 8, 2016
* Colin Harger (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) and Chase Palmer (Brookville, PA/Brookville) each went 4-for-4 and scored four runs for the Lions
* Harger drove in five runs with a pair of doubles, while Palmer drove in four runs
* Colin Kelly (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) improves to 2-0 on the mound, pitching six innings and striking out seven
* Behrend scored a season high in runs, registering two or more in each inning
* The Lions also tallied a season-best 23 RBIs and tallied the second-most hits (21)
* In the sixth, Behrend tallied six hits to produce seven runs for the final margin (+19)

* Hurler Ethan Tinker (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) had a season-high 10 strikeouts, fanning seven over the final three innings for the win
* Tinker only allowed two hits in the first and two more in the seventh, while giving up one run
* Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) made one of his two hits a double
* Behrend got on the board with two runs in the bottom of the second
* Palmer reached on an error and Ryan Meneskie (Moon Township, PA/Moon) singled to put Palmer scoring position
* Harger and CJ Weller (Sewickley, PA/North Allegheny) each hit sac flies to score Palmer and Meneskie
* Harger got his second RBI to get Palmer home to make it 3-0 for the Lions
* Weller tallied the final run in the fourth on Zac Bogats (Corapolis, PA/Moon) sacrifice bunt turned error
