ALFRED, NY – The Penn State Behrend baseball team split an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) doubleheader with Alfred State. The Lions tallied a 10-3 game-one victory and fell 5-0 in the game two.

Final Score: Penn State Behrend 10, Alfred State 3
Records: Penn State Behrend (16-14, 7-4 AMCC), Alfred State (21-13, 9-2 AMCC)
* Silvio Ionadi (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) smacked his first collegiate grand slam in the top of the third inning to give Behrend an 8-1 lead in the game
* Ionadi tallied three hits and seven RBIs, getting his second long ball of the game in the top of the fifth to score two more runs
* Ionadi now has four home runs on the season
* Evan Bromley (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) allowed just give hits and two runs for his fourth win
* Juston Jones (Moon Township, PA/Moon) tallied two runs and was instrumental in starting the scoring in the four-run second inning with the lone double
* Alfred State scored a run in the second, fifth and seventh inning

* The Lions tallied eight hits and stranded nine, while the Pioneers had five runs on 10 hits behind a three-run homer and three doubles
* Alfred State tallied two runs, before scoring three in the fifth inning thanks to Sam Dickerson's homer
* Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) went 3-for-4 and Zac Bogats (Corapolis, PA/Moon) added a pair of hits
* Jon White pitched the entire nine innings for the shut-out victory, striking out nine
* Ethan Tinker (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) was the pitcher of record for Behrend, allowing seven hits and five runs
