ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team used a three-hit, four-run fourth inning to take the lead and stay for a 6-5 win against Case Western in non-conference action on Saturday.

* Zac Bogats (Corapolis, PA/Moon) went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs
* Evan Bromley (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) came in relief in the top of the fourth inning and pitched 3.1 innings for the win
* In the third, the Lions went ahead 2-1 with back-to-back doubles thanks to Silvio Ionadi (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) and Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney)
* The lead grew by five runs with four more in the fourth
* With bases loaded and one out, Bogats hit an RBI single to score Juston Jones (Moon Township, PA/Moon) and Ryan Meneskie (Moon Township, PA/Moon)
* Ionadi reached on error to load the bases again, before Stouffer walked to send home Jon Berger (Wexford, PA/Pine-Richland) from third
* Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) drove in the final run on a sacrifice fly to center field to make it 6-1
* The Spartans added two runs in the fifth and two more in the seventh to close the gap by one run
* Joe Lang (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) came in relief in the seventh to get the final out with Case Western bases loaded to preserve the win
* Lang recorded his third save of the season, finishing out the eighth and the ninth innings
