Behrend Baseball Lands Seven on All-AMCC Team

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team had seven players listed to the 2023 All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Team.

Evan Bromley (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park), Joe Lang (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny), Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney), Silvio Ionadi (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) and Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) were selected to the second team, while Zac Bogats (Corapolis, PA/Moon) and Chase Palmer (Brookville, PA/Brookville) were chosen to the third team. 

Bromley led the team with five wins in seven complete games for his first All-AMCC honor. The junior has 25 strikeouts and pitched 45 innings. He ranked sixth in the AMCC with a 4.35 ERA. Has made 11 appearances, two in conference and winning both contests. He has allowed nine earned runs in AMCC action while fanning six.

Lang was the second pitcher to land on the All-AMCC team for the Lions. He has two wins and three saves overall this season, pitching 19.1 innings in eight appearances. He has a 2.33 ERA, allowing five earned runs on just 14 hits and fanning 23. Lang earned a save in a 10-9 win over Penn State Altoona during the regular season.

Stouffer repeats on the second team at third base. The senior ranked 10th in hits in conference play and second in at-bats (55). Stouffer leads the team in hits (51) which also ranks him 10th overall in the AMCC. Stouffer is also tied for the team lead in runs scored (34) - 12th in the AMCC. He also leads the team with 13 doubles, while cranking out three home runs and a triple. Stouffer also drove in 27 runs, including 10 in conference.

Ionadi is the lone freshman on the second team among conference players. He ranked second in conference play in triples, third in home runs, fourth in runs and sixth in walks and total bases. He ranked 13th with a .375 batting average. Ionadi also ranks sixth in on-base percentage (.492) and eighth in slugging percentage (.667) in conference action. Overall, he is fourth on the team in hits (43), while leading the team in walks (22) and ranking second in stolen bases (10).

Ciocco is earning his second All-AMCC accolade. He ranked third in the conference in overall batting average .443 and is fourth in conference-only games with a .444 clip. Ciocco was first in the conference in on-base percentage .571 and second in walks. Overall, he leads the team in RBIs (32), third in hits (44), fourth in doubles (9).

Palmer was chosen on the third team in the outfield. He tied for first in conference games with two triples and was first in fielding percentage (1.000). Palmer had 15 hits, 10 runs and eight RBIs in 14 AMCC contests. Overall, he is fifth on the team with 42 hits and is fourth with 27 RBIs. Palmer has nine extra-base hits, five doubles, two triples and two home runs.
