FORT PIERCE, Fla. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team recorded 15 hits in an 8-2 win over Wheaton (Ill.) in the spring break finale on Saturday.

* Senior Chase Palmer (Brookville, PA/Brookville) delivered an RBI double down the left field line to open the game's scoring in the top of the second
* Wheaton plated a run on a Behrend error in the bottom half of the inning to knot the score at one
* A Paul Connolly (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) RBI single and defensive miscue by the Thunder added two more runs to the Lions lead (4-1) in the third inning
* Behrend extended its advantage in the seventh on a Wheaton wild pitch and Jacob Wessel (Belle Vernon, PA/Belle Vernon) RBI single

* For the Thunder, James Scott and Payton McClowry each had two hits on Saturday
