* The Lions defeated Franciscan in a home-opening doubleheader this past Saturday
* Senior Daniel Boehme (Peters Township, PA/Seton LaSalle) tallied a .667 batting average, going 8-for-12 with three runs batted in Behrend's three games last week
* Fellow senior Evan Bromley tossed five innings to go along with five strikeouts and only one earned run against the Barons in game two on Saturday to record his second win of the season
* Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) is currently second in the AMCC with a .464 batting average, also recording 10 RBIs and a .529 on-base percentage
* In 33 at-bats so far this season, freshman Cayden Turner (Stoystown, PA/North Star) has tallied a .515 batting average, .556 on-base percentage, and .667 slugging-percentage to go along with 10 runs batted in
* Sophomore starters Andrew Bredel (Clinton, PA/Burgettstown) (three wins) and Colin Bolla (Fairview, PA/Fairview) (25 strikeouts) lead the Lions in wins and strikeouts
* Relievers Joe Lang (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) and Jake Manendo (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) have combined for 25 strikeouts and five saves out of the bullpen
* Lang is currently three strikeouts away from 100 career K's, while Ciocco stands three RBIs from 100 career runs batted in
Meet the Opposition:
* Mount Aloysius holds an overall record of 18-6 and a conference record of 1-1, splitting a doubleheader at Alfred State this past Saturday
* Outfielder Brandon Cook was named AMCC Player of the Week after slashing .400/.571/1.133 in five games last week
* Cook tallied four hits and six RBIs, while hitting three homeruns in game two against the Pioneers
* The Mounties currently have six players batting over .300: Sidric Grove (.404), Ryan Bushey (.363), Owen McDermott (.325), Tyler Quade (.314), Cook (.313), and Griffin Tunison (.303)
* Quade, the reigning conference Player of the Year and Preseason Player of the Year, leads the team on the mound with three wins and 27 strikeouts in 26.1 innings pitched
