Men's Basketball Overpowers Franciscan

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State men's basketball team defeated Franciscan 82-55 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Game of the Week on Saturday afternoon.

Score: Penn State Behrend 82, Franciscan 55

Records: Penn State Behrend (13-2, 7-2 AMCC), Franciscan (8-8, 4-5 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* Andy Niland (Fairview, PA/Fairview) was one point shy of his season best, shooting a game-best 22 points
* Niland led with six three-pointers and nine assists
* Kenny Fukon (Cranberry Township, PA/Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic)  and Justin Gorny (South Park, PA/South Park) were in double figures at halftime with 13 and 12, respectively
* The Behrend Lions outscored the Franciscan 40-22 in the first half
* The Lions shot over 50 percent from the floor for the 12^th time this season
* Behrend also went 13-for-22 from behind the arc for 59.1 percent shooting, while holding the Barons to just two treys
* Franciscan was led by Sean Hickey's 14 points
