Malike Brinson begins his first season as a volunteer assistant for the men's basketball program.

Brinson was a four-year member of the men's basketball program under head coach Dave Niland from 2015-19. He started 57 of 95 games, averaging 5.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. Brinson was named the 2017-18 AMCC Defensive Player of the Year as he was instrumental in helping the Lions maintain the number-one ranked scoring defense in the country with his defending on and off the ball. His 48 steals that season ranked him third in the conference, while his 1.8 steals per game was good enough for sixth in the conference.

He currently resides in Erie and serves as the Apprentice Assistant Principal at Lincoln Elementary School.
