Steis returns for his second season with the Behrend Lions as a team manager. Steis is a Marketing major and will graduate in the Spring of 2019 with a degree in Marketing. He is a 2015 graduate of Ridgway Area High School where he won 3 letters in football, two in baseball, and one in basketball.  

Nate was a member of the 2013-2014 Ridgway Boys Basketball team that won the class A District 9 Championship and advance to the PIAA Quarterfinals.

Steis has previously served as a sportswriter for the Ridgway Record, St Mary’s Daily Press, and Kane Republican. Currently, he works as the team journalist for the Dubois Dream semi-professional basketball team while also writing for D9Sports.com, the Behrend Beacon, and Behrend Athletics.

His future plans are to work in collegiate or professional athletics in business, journalism, or sports information.
