Lions Finish Fifth at Redhawk's Invitational

Pittsburgh, Pa.- The Penn State Behrend men’s golf program finished fifth place out of eight teams at the La Roche Fall Invitational Tuesday.

Point Park shot a low 321 to take home first while the host La Roche (322) tied with Mount Aloysius (322) and beat out Penn State Altoona (333) by one stroke to place second.

Kevin Koerbel carded a 78 on the par 71 course to lead the Lions. Koerbel finished the day even with Austin Elder of Point Park and Michael Sliman of La Roche for second place. The shootout was won by Point Park’s James Dailey who shot five over par.

Zach Polinski’s +10 score was good enough to place him 10th while Marc Neiswonger and Alec Italiano also finished in the Top 25.

The Lions will return to the green on October 4th at Westminster, tee-off is scheduled for 12 p.m.
