Gurska, Lions Capture Pitt-Greensburg Invitational
Matt Gurska was the individual medalist with a team-low score of 74 to help the Penn State Behrend men’s golf team win the Pitt-Greensburg Invitational on Friday.
GREENBURG, Pa. – Matt Gurska (Hermitage, PA/Kennedy Catholic) was the individual medalist with a team-low score of 74 to help the Penn State Behrend men's golf team win the Pitt-Greensburg Invitational on Friday.
The Lions finished with a score of 325 to capture their first invitational of the spring, while Gurska took first place on a sudden-death playoff. Pitt-Greensburg was one stroke behind Behrend for second place with a score of 326.
La Roche took third with a 329 total and Bethany was in fourth (343). Fifth place went to Mt. Aloysius with a team score of 348.
The Lions return to action tomorrow at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
