ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team finished in second place out of four teams at the James Bowen Spring Invitational held at Whispering Woods Golf Course on Saturday.

* The Lions had one more stroke than first-place Penn State Altoona (334)
* Behrend had all five golfers finish in the Top  10
* Alex Pol (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) tied for second overall with an 83 and took home the third place trophy in a playoff
* Pol had a 41 on the first nine and a 42 on the back for an 83 for first place on the team
* Jake Caldwell (Belle Vernon, PA/Belle Vernon) also tied for second overall with an 83 (40-43)
* Michael Dinner (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) was third on the team and seventh overall with an 84
* Dinner had a birdie on a par 3 on the back nine
* Ryan Meyer (Sewickley, PA/North Allegheny) and Ryan Johnson (Centre Hall, PA/Penns Valley) tied for eighth place with identical scores of 85
* Meyer had a birdie on hole 16 and Johnson shot a four on hole three for the birdie
