Caldwell Ties for First Place; Lions Take Second at Mt. Aloysius Invite

CRESSON, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team finished in second out of five teams at the Mt. Aloysius Spring Invitational on Saturday at the Summit Country Club.

Results: Behrend finished in second place out of five teams (325)

Key Moments:

* Jake Caldwell (Belle Vernon, PA/Belle Vernon) tied for first overall with a season-low score of 77
* He tied Trey Heffelfinger and Jimmy Gillespie of Penn State Altoona
* The Altoona Lions won the invitational with a team-low score of 317
* Behrend took second, while Pitt-Bradford was third (330), Mt. Aloysius was fourth (335), Pitt-Greensburg followed in fifth (370)
* Ryan Meyer (Sewickley, PA/North Allegheny) tied for eighth overall with an 81, followed by Alex Pol (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) in 10th place with an 82 for the round
* Michael Dinner (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) carded an 85 to tie for 16th and Ryan Johnson (Centre Hall, PA/Penns Valley) ended tied for 19th overall (87)
* Johnson also carded a season-low 80 on the day to tie for sixth place
was fourth on the team and tied for 18th with an 83, while tallied an 87 to finish tied for 24th
