MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team is in sixth place out of 13 teams after the first 18 holes of the two-day Allegheny Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Invitational held at the Meadville Country Club on Sunday.

* The Lions tallied their best team score this season with a 312
* Behrend is behind leader Gannon, Mercyhurst (2nd), Westminster (3rd), Allegheny (4th) and W&J (5th)
* Alex Pol (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) carded a 38 on the front and back nine to finish with a team-low 76
* In the overall individual standings, Pol tied for 15th heading into day two
* Phil Pedano (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) and Jake Caldwell (Belle Vernon, PA/Belle Vernon) tied for 23rd place with a score of 78
* Pedano tallied a 41 on the front and 37 on the back, while Caldwell posted a 38-40
* Ryan Johnson (Centre Hall, PA/Penns Valley) was fourth on the team and tied for 32nd overall
* Johnson had the lowest score for the Lions on the back nine with a 35 and recorded a 45 on the front for an 80
* Johnny Main (Sewickley, PA/Quaker Valley) was the fifth golfer, finishing with an 86 on the day and tying for 52nd
* Behrend edged AMCC foe Altoona by one stroke, while also beating Pitt-Greensburg and Mt. Aloysius
