BUTLER, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team is in second place with a score of 330 after day one of the 2021 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships held at the Butler Country Club on Monday.

* Behrend is six strokes behind first place Penn State Altoona (324)
* As a team, the Lions led with registering 40 pars and tied for first with three birdies
* Alex Pol (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) and Dominic DeBone (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) are tied for second place after the first 18 holes
* Pol carded a 38 on the front nine and a 41 for a 79 total
* After posting a 42 on the first nine holes, DeBone had two of the teams three birdies on the back nine to finish with a 37 for a final score of 79
* Ryan Johnson (Centre Hall, PA/Penns Valley) sits tied for 10th place and third on the team
* Johnson hit a 40 going out and a 44 coming back for an 84 for day one
* Phil Pedano (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) finished day one tied for 15th with a score of 88 (41-44), while Jake Caldwell (Belle Vernon, PA/Belle Vernon) tied for 18th overall (89)
