Three Golfers Named to All-AMCC Team

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team had three golfers named to the 2021 All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Team, announced on Monday.

Alex Pol (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) was selected to the first team, while Ryan Johnson (Centre Hall, PA/Penns Valley) and Phil Pedano (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) were chosen to the second team.

Pol is earning his fourth All-AMCC accolade and second straight on the first team to complete his career. The senior placed in the top 10 in all but one invitational this season, capturing second place in back-to-back tournaments including the AMCC Championships. Pol ranked third in the conference with a 77.11 average and fired a season-low 74 at the Mt. Aloysius Invitational.

Johnson landed on the second team for his first All-Conference honors. The junior ranked second on the team and was ninth in the AMCC in scoring average at 80.44. Johnson competed in every round, capturing the James Bowen Invitational on October 4 with a career-low 72.

Pedano is one of four freshmen on the All-Conference team. He finished in the top 10 on two occasions this season. Pedano tied for second at the James Bowen Invitational and carded a season-low 75 at Pitt-Bradford. He ranks 12th in the AMCC with an 83.00 average.
