Behrend Men's Golf Finishes AMCC Championships in Fourth Place

PRESTO, Pa.  – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team finished in fourth place at the 2022 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships at The Club of Nevillewood on Tuesday afternoon.

Results: Behrend took fourth place at the AMCC Championships (354-350-704)

Key Moments:

* Penn State Altoona defended its title with a two-day total of 651
* The Altoona Lions had three golfers in the Top 5 led by Trey Heffelfinger as the individual medailst with a low score of 150 (78-72)
* Altoona never trailed on day two and defeated Mt. Aloyisus (676) who took second and Pitt-Bradford in third (695)
* Jake Caldwell (Belle Vernon, PA/Belle Vernon) tied for seventh overall with a 170 (86-84)
* Caldwell tallied the lowest individual score on the day for the Lions with an 84
* Ryan Johnson (Centre Hall, PA/Penns Valley) and Daniel McMaster (Murrysville, PA/Greensburg Central Catholic) tied for 14th overall
* Johnson tallied an 87-88 for a two-day score of 175 and McMaster did the opposite with an 88-87
* Phil Pedano (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) tied for 22nd place overall with a 93-91 (184). Pedano was also in 22nd place after day one
