Behrend Men's Golf Set to Compete at AMCC Championships
The Penn State Behrend men's golf team will travel to Butler, PA for the 2024 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships held at the Butler Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team will travel to Butler, PA for the 2024 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships held at the Butler Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
AMCC Championship News & Notes
* The stroke-play tournament is played over two days for 36 holes (18 holes on Monday, 18 holes on Tuesday)
* Tournament pairings for day one are: Pitt-Bradford and Carlow at 10 am. Followed by Mt. Aloysius, La Roche and Hilbert at 10:50 a.m. Penn State Altoona, Behrend and Pitt-Greensburg tee off at 11:40 a.m.
* Tuesday's action will commence at 9 a.m. with pairings to be determined by the day-one results.
* The tournament team champion will receive the AMCC's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament which will be held May 20-23 in Pennfield, NY

* The Lions are looking for their 11th AMCC Title in program history
* Last year, Behrend earned third place with a team score of 657
* The Lions carded a 330 on day one and a 327 on day two
* Behrend last won the AMCC Championships in the Spring of 2020
* The top five Behrend golfers for the championships are: 1) Owen Blum, 2) Daniel McMaster 3) Johnny Palmieri 4) JR Hufnagel, 5) Liam Good
* Blum leads the team and ranks 34th in the AMCC with a 83.17 average
