ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team fell to Baldwin-Wallace in the consolation game of the Herb Lauffer Memorial soccer tournament on Sunday morning.
With the score knotted at 1-all, Baldwin-Wallace junior Kirk Graf chipped in the game winner with 20 seconds remaining in second overtime.
Behrend (0-1-1) got on the board first with Jake Gamble's (Butler, PA/Butler) third goal of the tournament. Senior defender Kyle McKinney (Chesterland, OH/West Geauga) led a long pass to Gamble to earn the assist. The Lions held the lead for the rest of the first half. The defensive battle continued into the second half until Baldwin-Wallace senior Andrew Thompson scored to tie the game at 1.
After a scoreless first overtime, the defenses continued to dominate until the Yellow Jackets took advantage of a crucial turnover in their offensive end with just seconds remaining that led to the game winner.
