ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team fell to Grove City on Wednesday afternoon 3-2 in overtime.

Grove City freshman Richie Kocur took advantage of a loose ball in the offensive end and chipped in the game winning goal four minutes into the first overtime session.

The Lions (1-3-1) got on the board first with solid passing.  Jake Szul (North East, PA/North East) passed the ball to Aaron Meehl (North East, PA/North East) who one touched a pass to Jake Gamble (Butler, PA/Butler) setting him up for his fourth goal of the year.  Behrend would take the 1-0 lead into halftime.

As the defenses dominated the first 15 minutes of the second half, the Wolverines Andrew Quinn tacted on a goal to tie the contest up at 1-all.

With 18 minutes remaining in regulation, Meehl led a pass to Jimmy Belack (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) who took a shot from 20 yards out that found the back of the net for the go ahead goal.  As the Lions continued to cling to the one goal lead, Gamble was awarded a penalty kick with just over seven minutes remaining in the match.  Grove City goal keeper, Caleb Koch came up huge for the Wolverines as he dove right to block the shot.

Nearing their second win of the season, Behrend continued to work the clock.  With six minutes left in the second half though, Grove City's Kocur crossed the ball to Adam Brewer who headed the ball just over Lions goalkeeper Chris Bolea (Ambridge, PA/Ambridge) to tie the game. Regulation would end that way, sending the game to overtime.

Behrend, playing in their third overtime game of the season, came out firing with Meehl taking a deep shot that hooked just wide of the net.  On the turnaround, the Wolverines worked the ball into the offensive end.  As a pass was crossed into the box, Kocur was able to come up with the loose ball and chip it over Bolea's hands for the win.

The Lions will travel to Westminster on Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest against the Titans.
