ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team netted four goals in the first half to extend their win streak to six en route to a 6-0 win over D'Youville on Wednesday.

Jake Gamble (Butler, PA/Butler) knocked in two goals and tallied an assist as the Lions (10-6-1, 8-1 AMCC) completed the regular season with their sixth straight win and seventh consecutive Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) victory.

Gamble got Behrend on the board early at the 10:42 mark.  Kyle McKinney (Chesterland, OH/West Geauga) lead a pass into the box where Gamble headed it over the goalie for the 1-0 lead.  Just over a minute later, Gamble beat the goalie again for his 14th goal of the year to give the Lions a 2-0 lead.

Garrett Fiscus (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) helped Behrend extend the lead to 3-0 with his second goal of the season at the 20:05 mark.  Fiscus gained control of the ball off of a throw in that deflected off a D'Youville defender and fired a shot to the back of the net.

Under two minutes later, Peter Brower (Rochester, NY/McQuaid Jesuit) gave the Lions a commanding 4-0 lead. Gamble led a long pass up the field where Aaron Meehl (North East, PA/North East) made a stellar play to let the ball continue through to Brower who chipped in his fourth goal in the last six games.  Brower has tallied at least one point in six of the last seven contests.  Behrend would take the 4-0 lead into half time.

With the second half underway, the score remained 4-0 for nearly 20 minutes.  At the 64:31 mark, Dominick Ali (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) scored his first collegiate goal to push the lead to 5-0.  Julian Hatfield (Altoona, PA/Altoona) crossed the ball through the box and off of the goalie's hand to earn his first collegiate assist.

As the second half winded down, Ali crossed the ball to Jay Jarrett (North Huntingdon, PA, Norwin) who used a won touch shot for his first collegiate goal.  Chris Bolea (Ambridge, PA/Ambridge) and Jarrod Wassell (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) combined for the shut out win making two and three saves respectively.  For the Lions, it was their fifth straight shut out victory.

Last week, Behrend secured the number two seed for the AMCC playoffs. The Lions will get a first round bye and will host a semifinal game on Wednesday.  The site and time is to be determined.
