LATROBE, Pa. – Peter Brower (Rochester, NY/McQuaid Jesuit) scored just 8:37 into the match to help propel the Penn State Behrend men's soccer team past St. Vincent 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

Anthony Crivelli (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) netted his second goal in as many games when he scored off of a Garrett Fiscus (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) pass to break a 1-all halftime tie.

Seth Connor (Brookville, PA/Brookville) gave the Lions (6-2-1) much needed insurance with his first career goal at the 74:05 mark of the second half. Connor banged it in off of a rebound to thwart any hope of a Bearcat comeback.

Brody Ruffner scored the lone goal of the day for St. Vincent (2-7) to tie the contest at one late in the first period. Crivelli's goal less than 10 minutes into the second half, however, would kill the Bearcats momentum.

Behrend goalkeeper and reigning AMCC Defensive Player of the Week Jarrod Wassell (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) made five saves and lowered his GAA to 1.08 on the year.

The Lions will open AMCC play when they host Franciscan on Saturday, September 28 at 1 p.m.
