Lions Edge North Central, 2-1

ST. CHARLES, Ill. - Anthony Crivelli (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) scored two goals to lead the Penn State Behrend men's soccer team past North Central Friday night in the opening round of the Sal Vaccaro Tournament.

Crivelli scored his first goal of the season in the second half at the 64:50 mark to tie the game at one. Less than three minutes later Crivelli scored the game-winning goal, which gave the Lions a 2-1 lead late in the second half.

Matt Koth scored the lone goal for North Central giving the Cardinals a 1-0 lead 34:33 into the first half.

Jarrod Wassell (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) recorded five saves in the net for Behrend, helping to keep the Cardinals of North Central scoreless in the second half.

North Central came into the game having been ranked seventh in the latest Central Region rankings released Wednesday by the National Collegiate Soccer Association of America (NCSAA).

Behrend will take the field Sunday at 4:00 pm in the championship game of the Sal Vaccaro tournament. The Lions will play the winner of Saturday's matchup of Grinnell College and Webster University
