ST. CHARLES, Ill. - The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team lost in the Sal Vaccaro tournament championship game Sunday by a score of 3-1.
After trailing 1-0, Sam McSherry (Stow, OH/Stow-Munroe Falls) tied the game with his first goal of the season at the 12:10 mark. Michael Hurley scored for Grinnell in the 59th minute to break the tie and give his team the lead. Joseph Brown would add an insurance goal at the 75:32 mark to seal the game for Grinnell.
Anthony Crivelli (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) notched the assist on the McSherry goal and finished the tournament with five points.
The Lions will take on Allegheny Friday at 7:00 pm in a non-conference matchup against the Gators.
