MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest to Allegheny by a score of 3-2 on Friday night.
For the second time this season, Anthony Crivelli (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) scored twice in three minutes, however this time was in a losing effort.
The Gators jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a converted penalty kick by Axel Monzon. Stefano Wach gave Allegheny a two-goal lead with a header goal towards the end of the first half at the 33:43 mark.
Coming out of the half, Crivelli scored his first goal in the 50th minute to cut Allegheny's lead to one. His next goal came at the 53:30 mark to tie the game at two.
Axel Monzon netted his second penalty kick of the game at the 57:17 mark to seal the game for the Gators.
Jimmy Belack (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) notched an assist which puts him only three away from tying the Lions all-time record.
The Lions look to rebound when they host St. Vincent Wednesday September 24th at 7:00 pm.
