ERIE, Pa. - Jimmy Belack (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) lead the Penn State Behrend men's soccer team past Pitt-Bradford Wednesday afternoon scoring his team-leading 12th goal and adding his fifth assist of the season in the 3-0 victory.
The Lions (10-3, 4-0 AMCC) struck early at the 4:22 mark when Christian Harrington (Warren, PA/Warren Area) drilled a shot from the left side of the box into the right corner past the goalie. Matt Dziadosz (Leechburg, PA/Kiski Area) fed Harrington and earned his first career assist on the pass.
Behrend's defense was spectacular led by Mike Worthy (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) and Evan Augustine (Pittsburgh, PA/South Park) limiting Pitt-Bradford (2-11, 1-3 AMCC) to only one shot in the entire game.
Anthony Crivelli (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) netted his seventh goal of the season nailing a low shot to the left corner of the net coming at the 20:46 mark to give the Lions a 2-0 advantage. Jimmy Belack capped off the dominating victory knocking in a goal in the 60th minute.
Goalkeeper Jarrod Wassell (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) continued his strong play making one save.
Behrend will put their five-game winning streak to the test when they travel to La Roche College Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
