ERIE, Pa – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team struck twice in the second half to defeat Baldwin Wallace 2-0 in the consolation game of the HLM Tournament on Saturday.
After a scoreless first half, Anthony Crivelli (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) found Matt Dziadosz (Leechburg, PA/ Kiski Area) to put Behrend (1-0-1) on the board at the 59:19 mark. Two minutes later, Dakota Lange (Apollo, PA/Kiski Area) blew past a pair of Yellow Jackets (0-2) defenders and buried his shot to put the Lions up 2-0.
Behrend kept excellent pressure on Baldwin Wallace throughout the contest, not allowing the Yellow Jackets any great opportunities to capitalize. The Lions also outshot BW, 10-2.
Freshman goalkeeper Chris Ralph (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) earned his first career shutout behind the dominate Lions defense.
Behrend will travel to Grove City on Tuesday for a non-conference match against the Wolverines beginning at 4:00 p.m.
