Three Named to USC All-Great Lakes Region Team

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's soccer seniors Andrew Mastovich (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional), Aaron Harris (Washington, PA/McGuffey) and junior Richard Blanchard (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) were named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Division III All-Great Lakes Region Team. 

Mastovich and Harris were selected to the second team while Blanchard landed on the third team.

Mastovich is earning a spot on the All-Region team for the first time. He was the AMCC Defensive Preseason Player of the Year and was also on the All-AMCC first team. Mastovich anchored the defense that registered a 0.85 goals-against average, only allowing 18 goals in 21 contests. He also netted three goals for six points and helped the Lions record 10 shutouts on the season.

Harris is now a two-time All-Region honoree after being named to the third team a year ago. He was also named to the All-Conference first team this season for posting nine goals and five assists for 23 points in 20 starts in the midfield. Harris was instrumental in helping Behrend post a school-record 19 wins.

Blanchard was chosen to the Great Lakes All-Region third team in addition to the All-AMCC first team. His first All-Region honors comes after leading the team and ranking third in the conference in points (39). Blanchard scored 13 goals and dished out an AMCC best 13 assists. He has scored five game-winning goals, including both in the AMCC Tournament. Blanchard netted the game winner in the AMCC Championship off a penalty kick in the 76th minute.
